Crowley Data Poland, a telecommunications operator and a provider of Internet access and data transmission technologies in Poland was a nominee to Golden Antenna of Telecom World prize in the category The best company of the year. A background for this nomination was most of all the rate of income growth in 2002 that reached as much as 300% as well as launching of many new services for business. Crowley joined the group of top companies along with PTK Centertel and Energis.

The following members entered the contest board: Krzysztof Heller, Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of Infrastructure, Witold Graboś, President of the Management Board in the Regulation Office for Telecommunications and Post, Stefan Kamiński, President of the National Chamber of Commerce for Electronics and Telecommunications, Jarosław Okrągły, President of the Foundation for Development of Information Society as well as representatives of the Ministry of Infrastructure, the Institute of Communication, the Regulation Office for Telecommunications and Post, the Institute of Radio Electronics of Warsaw University of Technology.

Grounds for companys nomination to the contest were the results Crowley Data Poland achieved in 2002. That year the company increased its income by 300% and grew the customers portfolio by 100% making the number of business entities using Crowleys network exceed 1500. In addition the company increased the capital up to PLN 59 million, launched several new solutions, most of all, VoIP and VoIP VPN, voice applications for business as well as provided customers with promotional offerings such as subscription free voice applications, and 1-second charging VoiP. In addition Crowley implemented new CRM system and extended working hours of the Subscribers Office currently operating on 24/7 basis. According to survey ran by ASM Survey and Market Analysis Center as much as 80% of interviewees would support Crowleys network if asked to choose the operator once again.

This nomination is a prize for a year of a hard work. This success wouldnt be possible unless an all the employees got involved in. In 2003 we intend to focus on development of both Internet-based and stationary telecom-based voice solutions. Our blueprint is ambitious in terms of income rate, though it would be difficult to strive for last year benchmark.
